BiographyDorothy Ruth Kitts Jones, 85, of Grove, OK passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, July 25, 2010. She was born June 12, 1925 in Stella, MO to W. H. and Cora Kitts who both preceded her in death. She married Carl Duane Jones on April 4, 1942. They lived the majority of their married life in Joplin, MO & then retired to Grand Lake over 30 years ago. Carl preceded her in death on August 12, 1999. Dorothy was a housewife & homemaker who loved taking care of her family. She always had an open door for anyone that wanted to stop by for a visit. She is survived by her children, Carl “Ed” Jones and wife Kathleen of Wyandotte, OK; Richard “Rick” Jones and wife Karen of Highland Beach, FL; Tena Marie Jones of Vinita, OK and Thad Jones and wife Lori of Boca Raton, FL. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Mardy Jones & wife Audrey of Little Rock, AR; Kelley Jones of Washington, DC; Brad Jones & Heather, Dalton Jones and Megan Jones all of Boca Raton, FL and 3 great grandchildren, Mardis Jones and Jesse Jones of Little Rock, AR and Bradley Jones Jr of Boca Raton, FL. There are two sisters, Annabelle Coffman & husband Gene and Cleo Bryan who survive as well as a brother-in-law, Larry Jones & wife Elnora and sister-in-law, Bonnie Haynes. One sister and one brother preceded her in death. Additionally she is survived by many nieces and nephews as well as a host of friends. Although we will miss her warm smile and gentle heart, we can all have peace knowing that Dorothy and Carl can finally continue on their path together.
