Biography

Lorene L. (Harris) Pace, 94, Neosho, died Thursday, July 12, 2012, at Freeman Neosho Hospital, following a sudden illness. She was born August 4, 1917, in McDonald County, MO, to Joseph and Myrtle (Williams) Harris.
Mrs. Pace was a lifelong area resident and worked as a sales clerk for the former Sterlings Variety Store and Fuller’s Market, in Neosho. She was an avid bowler and a member of High Street Christian Church.
Lorene and Raymond “Red” Pace were married February 28, 1939. He preceded her in death October 24, 2000. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Lloyd, Lester, Luther “Kelly” and Leon Harris; and three sisters, Louise Bellamy, Lela Payne and Della Harris.
She is survived by two sisters Letha Minor, Baxter Springs, KS and Lyda Ruth Gavinski, Milwaukee, WI; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends.
