Biography
Rachel Elizabeth (Vance) Smith, 84, Granby, died Thursday, August 2, 2012. She was born June 12, 1928, in Granby, Missouri, to Claude and Elsie Jewel (Beaver) Vance.
Mrs. Smith was a lifelong southwest Missouri area resident and a homemaker.
She is survived by her children, Michael H. Smith, Charles L. Smith, Jewell C. Smith, James D. Smith, Amber Sue Cole, Timothy J. Smith and Rosa S. Rogers; 16 grandchildren; numerous great and great, great-grandchildren; and a sister, Romayne Harrington.
The body has been cremated and a memorial service will be at a later date.
