Grief is a natural response to any loss in our lives. That loss can be of a job, a marriage, a beloved pet, or a person who meant a lot to us. Dealing with grief can be very heart-wrenching as one works through the pain of the loss. 
Many people will offer advice on how to handle grief. While some of that advice can be very helpful, some of it is based on accepted myths about grief. Recognizing these myths can help manage grief in a healthy way. 
These are some of the myths around grief:
1.	Time Heals All Wounds: This phrase suggests that simply waiting long enough will resolve grief. However, time alone does not heal emotional pain. Without intentional effort, unresolved grief can deepen over time.
