Curtis Edward Howerton was born on July 3, 1973, in Joplin, Missouri, to Ivan Bruce Howerton and Judith Jane (Jones) Howerton.  He entered into rest on August 10, 2024, in Joplin, Missouri, at the age of 51.  Curtis was a lifelong area resident and worked in the automotive industry as an auto body technician.  Curtis is survived by his wife, Amanda, whom he wed on October 1, 1998, and she survives.  In addition to his wife, Curtis is survived by three children, Madison Noran and husband, Josiah, Joshua Howerton and Sophia Grinnell and Joseph Howerton: two grandchildren, Asher and Emory Noran and siblings, Melissa Sanders, Michelle Cantrell, Marsha Whitford and husband, James, Stephen Howerton and wife, Julie, Michael Howerton and Matthew Howerton and wife, Tobi.  He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Shon Hamsher and Robert Howerton.
