David Albert Hilliard was born on March 26, 1956, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, one of three children to Henry David and Shirley Alice (Moon) Hilliard.  He entered into rest on April 3, 2024, in Joplin, Missouri, at the age of 68.  David graduated from Lake Charles High School and attended Texas Bible Institute. He moved to the southwest Missouri area in 2005 from Texas.  He worked as a maintenance technician on communication towers and as a greeter and stocker at Wal-Mart for fifteen years.  David enjoyed photography, bicycle riding, camping and meteorology.  David was a godly man and served as a youth minister at the Assembly of God, served at music technician and went on mission trips to Haiti and Madagascar, Russia.  He currently was a member of the Shoal Creek Revival Church.  David is survived by his brother, Mike Hilliard and wife, Kathy of Kansas City, Missouri; nieces and nephews and special friends, Hurschel and Nadine Jones, Phil and Sharon Jackson, Sandra Jackson and his Shoal Creek Revival Church family.
