Natalie Elizabeth Lloyd, beloved daughter of Ben and Naomi Baker, entered the gates of Heaven on Thursday, May 23, 2024, in Port au Prince, Haiti.  Natalie was born on March 2, 2003, in Joplin, Missouri and was a life-long resident of Neosho.  She attended Ozark Christian Academy and Ozark Bible Institute and College.  Natalie loved and was fiercely loved in return by her family.  She had a special place in her heart for Ezra, whom she babysat until she married.  Natalie had a mother's heart and loved the children in the orphanage in Haiti from the moment of her first trip there prior to her marriage to Davy.  The nurturing spirit she felt toward Ezra quickly went out to a little boy named Kelly from the orphanage.  A large majority of the pictures she sent to family in the states included little Kelly, whom Davy accused her of turning into a "brat", but Kelly called her 'momma'.  Natalie is survived by her father and mother, Ben, and Naomi (Thomas) Baker of Neosho, sisters, Sylvia and Sydney Baker of the home and Nicole (Baker) Bridges, who married Joel Bridges in January of 2024, the last time Davy and Natalie were in the United States.  Also surviving are grandparents, Bobby and Trica Thomas of Joplin, Ron and Linda Baker of London, Kentucky, great grandparents, Caroline Carpenter of Merced, California, Mary Rose Sizemore of Trafalgar, Indiana, Eugene Baker, Sr. of Morgantown, Indiana, aunts and uncles, Bobby and Kelly Thomas of Joplin, Nathan and Jennifer Thomas of Luganville, Espiritu Santo, Vanuatu, Robert and Ruth (Thomas) Taylor of Goodman, Joe and Brittany Baker of London, Kentucky, Jesse and Morgan Baker of Martinsville, Indiana, Phil and Kendsey Baker of Martinsville, Indiana, Bryan and Sarah (Baker) McKelvey of Dayton, Ohio, Ronnie and Jessica Baker of Greenwood, Indiana, Stephen and Hannah (Baker) Wright of Bedford, Indiana; eight Thomas first cousins and twenty-three Baker first cousins and a host of extended family from all over the country and world.

David Joseph Lloyd, III, (Davy), was born on July 3, 2000, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Davy is the oldest child of David and Alicia Lloyd.  Soon after he was born, Davy went to Haiti.  His first language was Haitian Creole.  He loved his Haitian brothers and sisters, whom he grew up with at the House of Compassion.  Davy, his sister, Hannah and Haitian sister, Miriam, were kidnapped when Davy was just five years old.  They were miraculously released the next day with no ransom paid.  Davy and his family were also in Haiti during the 2010 earthquake which killed an estimated 200,000 people and destroyed a large portion of Port-au-Prince.  Davy graduated high school at Good Hope Christian Academy in Haiti in 2018.  He graduated Ozark Bible Institute and College in Neosho with honors in April of 2022.  Having grown up in Haiti, Davy witnessed the Haitian people's daily struggle for survival.  He was able to relate to them which made him a great missionary to Haiti.  Davy was an unusually gifted young man.  He had developed into a powerful preacher, he was an avid hunter and outdoorsman, and he had a natural ability in construction, building his own home when he was just twenty-one years old.  Davy worked with his uncle, Travis McCrate, at their tractor dealership in Tulsa, Oklahoma during several summers, and could fix just about everything his uncle Travis threw at him. Davy always had a smile on his face and everyone who knew him loved him.  Davy is survived by his father and mother, David, and Alicia (McCrate) Lloyd, sister, Hannah Cornett and husband, Dakota, his brother, Samuel; grandparents, David and Donna Lloyd and Mike and Wanda McCrate, many aunts, uncles, cousins and his family in Haiti.

Davy and Natalie began their life together on June 18, 2022.  They were married at Bible Holiness Assembly of God in Neosho, and it was a wedding of fairy tale proportions.  Davy and Natalie made their home here in Neosho, living in the home that Davy had built for their lives together.  They attended Bible Holiness Assembly of God.  In January of 2023, they became full-time missionaries, serving under Missions in Haiti, Inc.  They considered Neosho as their home when they were stateside.
