Eloise Ruth Kirk was born on October 7, 1928, in Red Eagle, Oklahoma, one of three children to F. A. and Ruth (Sears) Rowland.  She entered into rest on August 17, 2023, in Joplin, Missouri, at the age of 94.  Eloise graduated from Central High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma and while living in Tulsa, worked for numerous oil companies and for Oral Roberts in the secretarial field.  In 1960, she and her family moved to the Neosho area and she worked at Rocketdyne and Teledyne.  Eloise enjoyed reading her Bible, talking to the Lord and ministering to others through her personal letters.  She also enjoyed the outdoors and working in her flowers.  She was a member of the Abundant Life Assembly of God Church in Neosho.  On July 29, 1949, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Eloise and Melvin Kirk, Sr. were united in marriage and he preceded her in death on July 8, 2012.

Eloise is survived by two children, Linda Turnbow of Carthage, Missouri and Melvin Kirk, Jr. and wife, Cindy of Connolly Springs, North Carolina; grandchildren, Dustin Turnbow, Jonathan Kirk and wife, Nicole and Melanie Eads, great grandchildren and a bonus daughter, Joan Hodson of Neosho, Missouri.  In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by an infant son, Dale Edward Kirk; son-in-law, Darrel Turnbow and two brothers.  Services will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at 10 am at the Abundant Life Assembly of God Church, Pastor Ken Robinson will officiate.
