Helen Irene Glassburner was born on July 19, 1925, in El Dorado, Kansas, one of five children to William J. and Gladys (Usery) Rogers.  She entered into rest on February 19, 2024, in Neosho, Missouri at the age of 98.  Helen married her husband, Harry Glassburner on February 5, 1941, at the age of 15.  Her husband was called to defend his country, serving in the Army Air Corp as a flight engineer, and was stationed in India.  While Harry was overseas, Helen worked at Beech aircraft as a Rosie the Riveter. After her husband's honorary discharge from the military, he worked for Boeing.  In 1956, they moved from El Dorado, Kansas to Joplin, Missouri and purchased the AAA Drive Inn and sold the business in 1964.  Following the sale of the Drive Inn, they purchased a farm in McDonald County, Missouri, while still living in Joplin until the construction of their home was completed.  After retiring to Anderson, they were active in the Senior Citizens Center, the local veteran's organization and attended the Anderson Methodist Church, where Helen taught an exercise class.  After sharing 71 years together, Harry preceded Helen in death on October 24, 2012.  Helen is survived by two daughters, Harriet Follmer and husband, Lawrence of Neosho and Linda Massey of Neosho; daughter-in-law, Mary Glassburner; son-in-law, Bill Wilcoxson; ten grandchildren and many well-loved great and great-great-grandchildren, and one brother, Billy Rogers.  In addition to her husband and parents, Helen is preceded in death by a daughter, Wilma Wilcoxson, son, Ronnie Glassburner, grandson, Mark Glassburner, and three sisters, Opal, Maxine and Garnett.  A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 26, 2024, at 10 am at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, Pastor Marcus Rogers will officiate.
