Jackie D. Fahnestock was born September 21, 1942, in Neosho, Missouri, one of four children to Jack and Irene (Hood) Hammack.  She entered into rest on July 14, 2023, in Neosho, at the age of 80.  Jackie was a lifelong area resident.  She had worked at the Fortune East Restaurant and at Sunbeam and Jarden in Neosho.  She collected Sun, moon, and stars, had many friends and loved her family.  She is survived by two sons, Danny Merryman and Tim Merryman, both of Neosho; grandchildren, Brittany Burnaugh, Timmy Merryman, Jr., Norbert Ayala, III, Paige Merryman, Danielle Merryman and Nicole Preciado; two great grandchildren, A.J. and Louis Burnaugh; bonus daughter, Jeanette Ayala; two sisters-in-law, Lois Hammack and Florence Hammack of Neosho; aunt, Hopie Ross; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.  She is preceded in death by a son, Brent Merryman; her first husband and father of her children, Garry Merryman, Jr.; her husband, Steve Fahnestock; her parents and three brothers, Tommy, Lonny and Danny Hammack.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2023, at 2 pm at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories.  Interment will follow in the Granby Memorial Cemetery.  The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 pm until service time.
