Obituary lovingly written by the family of James Herring:

James V. Herring, Jr., Pineville, Missouri, passed at his residence on July 2, 2023.  He was born September 27, 1943.  He attended the First Christian Church in Anderson, Missouri.  Jim served in the U.S. Navy and retired as a surveyor.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Monette Sartin Herring and James V. Herring.  He is survived by a daughter, Vickie M. Herring, his wife, Linda Herring, both of Grenada, Mississippi; three sisters, Janice Odom (Johnny) of Brandon, Mississippi, Carol Cheek (Buddy) of Carrollton, Missouri, Cheryl Ashmore (Honey) of Hernando, Mississippi; two brothers, Buddy Herring (Jocelyn) of Algoma, Mississippi and Frank Herring (Mona) of Webb, Mississippi.  Nieces and nephews - Annette Odom Shute, Scarlett Miller, Sandra Hall, April Davidson, Mark Herring, Franky Herring and Danielle Long.  A special thank you to Mark Herring who has been there for Jim and who has graciously assisted the family with arrangements after his passing.  Also, Wydene for all her kindness.
