Obituary

Janice Kay Keeler was born on February 15, 1947, in Sheldon, Missouri, the daughter of Vernon and Mary Ellen (Moore) Conley. She entered into rest on August 3, 2026, in Joplin, Missouri, at the age of 79. Janice was a graduate of Butler, Missouri high school and had worked as a unit secretary at Sale Memorial and Freeman Hospitals until her retirement. She enjoyed crocheting and was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan. On January 8, 1983, Janice and Vernon Keeler were united in marriage and Vernon survives. In addition to her husband, she is survived by Curt Carr, Jill Carr, Kevin Keeler, Kathy Kirkpatrick, Roger Kirkpatrick and James Keeler; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; one brother, Jim Conley and two sisters, Mina Miller and Eva Hargrave. She is preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Vicky Sikes and Judy Neider. A memorial service will he held on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at 4 pm at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, Pastor Danny Sikes will officiate. Following the service, the family will receive friends until 6 pm.
