Obituary

Jeanne Laughlin, 91, of Neosho, Missouri, passed away on August 9, 2025. She was born on April 25, 1934, in Wyandotte, Oklahoma.

Jeanne earned her GED from Crowder College and later worked as a cook at Neosho High School, where she retired after many years of dedicated service. She was a proud member of the Seneca-Cayuga Tribe and had a remarkable talent for creating Native American jewelry using her intricate beading skills. Jeanne also enjoyed quilting and was an avid garage sale enthusiast who loved the thrill of finding hidden treasures.

She is survived by her children: Linda Foley of Neosho, Dara Hubbard (Jon) of Neosho, and Dwight Laughlin of Lamar, Missouri; siblings Lee (Evelyn) Chase, Pearlene Chase, Sharon Deal, and Marie (Greg) Panther, her grandchildren: Dale Foley, Sarah Toth, Chris Foley, Stephen Hubbard, and Kelli Hubbard; and ten great-grandchildren.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband Dwight Laughlin Sr., daughter Dorothy Brown, her son Darrell Laughlin, daughter-in-law Debra Laughlin, and grandchild Jessie Laughlin Mead.

A visitation will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home – Chapel of Memories. A graveside service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Seneca Cemetery in Seneca, Missouri, with Dr. Jerry Siegel officiating. Pallbearers will be: Dale Foley, Christopher Foley, Dwight Laughlin, Joey Diehl, Kaden Lafleur, and Gerald Merriman.

Jeanne will be remembered for her creativity, warmth, and the love she shared with her family and community.
