-Obituary lovingly written by the family of Johnny McCoy-

Johnny Lee McCoy, born May 30, 1951 in Joplin Missouri, passed away on January 13, 2025. He was born to Marion McCoy and Naomi (Anderson) McCoy. John loved to fish , hunt, work on  cars, spending time with grandchildren and watching their sporting advents. He was a dedicated Christian that loved the Lord. He was married to Gayle McCoy on February 5th, 1974, who survives him.

He is survived by his children: Rebecca (Harlan) Lancaster of Webb City, Missouri, Rachel (Steve) Armer of Kentucky, and Marta Skelton of Monett, Missouri. Johnny is further survived by his siblings Barbara Smith, Nancy Rainy, and Ed McCoy, as well as 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Bill Anderson, Junior McCoy, Betty McCoy, and Ray McCoy.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 16th,2025, at 1pm at Clark Funeral Home-Chapel of Memories Neosho, Missouri, followed by a funeral service at 2pm. A grave side service will follow at Mound Chapel Cemetery.

A giving and Godly man is now given his reward-a life lived in the true fullness - in the presence of God.

John 17:24 "Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world."

John was a giving man that leaves a legacy to be remembered by all. Johnny gave all things in his life such as his knowledge and labor to his family for years. He would do anything for anyone, such as working on cars, building houses, moving family members  and do just about anything for them. John loved all his family and friends dearly.

John was a wonderful husband (Mr. Wonderful) who loved doing any project for her, like building her a house or two. He showed her love in so my ways. They had a wonderful life together for 50 years.

John was always so giving and loving to his children and grandchildren.  Giving piggy back rides, playing games of monster and lots of other things like many golf cart rides. Even would sit with the grandchildren in tiny chairs for their enjoyment.
