Juanita Helen Harris nee Shell was born in Stone, KY on Dec 13, 1926, the daughter of Aaron and Nyleptha (Bryant) Shell. She entered into rest on March 23, 2024 in Elk Grove Village, Illinois at the age of 97. Juanita was born a coal miners daughter and was a kind hearted gentle soul who loved life, adventures and people. She loved to look her best and never left home without her signature rose colored lipstick. She enjoyed shopping, especially for jewelry, hearing about current events, reading gossip magazines, doing word search puzzles and eating out, and she never met a piece of candy or sweet dessert she didn't like. Her favorite tv shows were The Golden Girls & Wheel of Fortune, and she loved music especially Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett and Dean Martin. She made friends with everyone she came into contact with, she was charming, had a very sweet easy going personality and had a laughter that was infectious. The world will never be the same without her and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Juanita is survived by her daughter Janet (Tim) O'Callaghan; two granddaughters Tracy and Heather Collins; Sister and Brother in law Mickey and Donnie Mitchell and numerous nieces & nephews. she is preceded in death by her husband Gene Ralph Harris, her son Steve Collins, brothers Johhny & Leon Shell, and her parents.  Graveside services will be on Friday, June 21, 2024 at Dice Cemetery.
