Laura R. Thomson was born May 13, 1961, in Cabool, Missouri.  She died on September 20, 2023, in Granby, Missouri at the age of 62.  Laura was a graduate of Mt. Grove, High School and obtained a master's degree in medical technology from KU in 1987 and in 2007, obtained a master's degree in education from Drury University.  She taught science and had worked at Cox Medical Center and Aureus traveling as a medical technologist.  She enjoyed crocheting, doing cross stitch, enjoyed gardening, was an avid reader and loved her kitty cats.  She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Neosho.  On July 19, 2008, in Aurora, Missouri, Laura and Iain Alistair Thomson were united in marriage and Iain survives.  In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Monica Hovatter of Las Vegas, Nevada; one sister, Sarah Robinett of Freistatt, Missouri; one brother, Tom Nash, Jr. of St. Louis, Missouri; nieces, nephews and other extended family.  Memorial services will be held at 11 am, Saturday, October 14, 2023, at the St. John's Episcopal Church in Neosho, Missouri.
