With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Linda Roberts, who departed this life peacefully on February 11, 2025, at the age of 77. A cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Linda's gentle spirit and unwavering devotion to her family and faith will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
Linda was born on May 21, 1947, in Joplin, to O'Dell and Mirtie Wead and was a graduate of Neosho High School in 1965. Shortly after graduation Linda married the love of her life, Kenneth James Roberts December 2, 1966 in Racine, MO. She dedicated a significant part of her professional life as a Supervisor in Shipping and Receiving at FAG in Joplin, where she worked until her retirement in 2012. Linda was not just a dedicated employee, but a reliable pillar in her community, participating in the Newton County Republican Committee and actively involved in her church at Cave Spring Baptist Church.
Linda's love for her family was boundless. She is survived by her son, Randy Roberts (Sandy) of Hawley, Minnesota, her daughter, Kelli Schade of Kitchener, Ontario Canada, and her beloved cousin, Glenda Martin. She took immense pride in her six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, who brought her endless joy and laughter throughout her life. Her legacy of love continues through them and the many cousins and family members who will carry her memory in their hearts.
A visitation will be held on February 16, 2025, at 1:00 pm at Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, providing a time for family and friends to gather in loving remembrance of Linda. Her funeral service will follow on February 17, 2025, at 10:00 am in the same location.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Cave Spring Baptist Church, reflecting Linda's commitment to her faith and community.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband, both parents, 2 brothers and one sister.
