Lori Ann Cole was born on June 7, 1973, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, one of two daughters to Don Gordon and Lana Mae (Lasiter) Johnson. She entered peacefully into rest on August 21, 2024, in Neosho, at the age of 51. Lori was a graduate of Neosho High School, Class of 1991, and a longtime area resident. She enjoyed reading, writing poetry, and spending quality time playing board games with her family and friends. She excelled with words – oft referred to as the "Grammar Police." She enjoyed spending time at her "happy" places, at Silver Dollar City and in West Virginia. She will be remembered for her great love for people, good sense of humor, and cheerful disposition. She was a member of the Church of God in the Neosho congregation. On March 16, 1996, in Neosho, Lori and Ronald Cole were united in marriage and he survives. In addition to her cherished husband, she is survived by one daughter, Kendra Cole of Shawnee, Oklahoma, one son, Bretton Cole and wife, Natalie, of Neosho, her mother, Lana Johnson of Neosho, and one sister, Lisa Sorrell and husband, Dale, of Guthrie, Oklahoma. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews that she all loved. She is preceded in death by her father, Don, and her niece, Paige Sorrell.
