Margaret was the youngest of nine siblings who shared their childhood together. Margaret's pursuit of education led her to graduate from Jasper High School in 1948. She furthered her studies at Joplin Junior College, where she earned her teaching degree. Margaret embarked on her teaching career, spending a year teaching in a one-room schoolhouse at Bois D' Arc, imparting knowledge to the next generation. Her faith played a significant role in her life, and she was a devoted Christian. Margaret was united in marriage to Michael Moore Perry Sr. on August 14, 1950, in Columbus, Kansas. Their loving union endured until Michael's passing on October 13, 2021. Margaret is survived by her five children: Janet (Lee) Greninger of Joplin, Missouri, Albert (Keithlyn) Perry of Austin, Texas, Anna (Burney) Johnson of Neosho, Missouri, Roger (Theresa) Perry of Pearcy, Arkansas, and Ellen (Steve) Cantrell of Jefferson City, Missouri. Her family continued to grow with the presence of 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her son Michael Perry Jr., and her daughter Phyllis Perry. Additionally, six brothers, Laurel, Kenneth, Robert, Jean, Dean, and Franklin, and two sisters, Maxine and Maurine, have gone before her.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 26, 2023, at 9:00 AM at Clark Funeral Home. A funeral service to celebrate Margaret's life will follow at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of Memories. After the service, interment will take place at Cummings Chapel Cemetery in Tiff City, Missouri.
