Margaret Alice Simmerman passed away February 15, 2025 in Joplin, Missouri.  Margaret was born on July 24, 1943 in Concordia, Kansas to Martin Roy and Marie Nolan.  She had four brothers and one sister.

Margaret lived in southwest Missouri most of her life.  Graduating from Goodman High School in 1961.  She had two children.  She ran her own machine quilting business in Goodman for several years and retired from La-Z-Boy in Neosho.  Margaret loved to travel in her earlier days to various Caribbean destinations and also Tahiti.  She also had a love for reading, working on puzzles and growing flowers and roses.

She is survived by her daughter Melissa and husband Bruce Baines of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, one sister Pat Shaver of Tipton Ford, Missouri, brother Martin (Butch) Nolan and wife Jeanie of Winfield, Kansas, brother Raymond Nolan of Texarkana, Arkansas.  Grandchildren Stacy Browder, Lori Goodwin, Kyle Stanley, Daniel Stanley and Carissa Huggins.  She also had nine greats and one great great.

Margaret is preceded in death by her daughter Peggy Stanley, two brothers John Nolan and Edward Nolan.  Former spouse and father of her children Jack Kelly and former spouse Forrest Simmerman.
