Marilyn Lorraine (Swanson) Dilbeck, 95, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2026 at Oak Pointe of Neosho, Missouri, finally finding peace after a lengthy battle with dementia.
Marilyn was born on June 9, 1931 to Manning and Josephine (Clark) Swanson in Anita, Iowa, but was raised from a young age by her Uncle Howard and Aunt Leila Bosier of Perry, Iowa.
After graduating from Perry High School in 1948, she moved to Neosho where she remained a lifelong resident. After arriving in Neosho, she began working in the ticket office of the beloved Orpheum Movie Theater and met the love of her life, Floyd Dilbeck. They were married on August 7, 1954 and celebrated over 61 years of marriage before Floyd's passing. Together, they owned and operated Floyd's Jewelry in Neosho for 47 years from 1955-2002.
Marilyn was a wonderful cook, enjoyed crossword puzzles and was an avid reader. She was known to do her grocery shopping on Friday nights and went out to eat on Saturday nights with her husband.
She was a faithful member of the Neosho United Methodist Church. Marilyn was also a part of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority, where she made many friendships.
In addition to her parents, Uncle Howard and Aunt Leila, she was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd, her brothers Manning Jr. and Marvin, and her nephew Clark Swanson.
Surviving are two daughters: Kim Dilbeck Mason (Gerry) of Neosho, and Jill Dilbeck (Jay Mainord) of Kyle, Texas, one stepdaughter Terry Didelot (Russ) of Taylors, South Carolina, two grandsons, Ben and Matt Didelot, four great grandchildren, Maddie Didelot, Bennett Didelot, Callum Didelot, and Skye Didelot, niece Lucinda Swanson, and nephew Brett Swanson.
The family will receive friends Friday from 12:00pm – 1:00pm on Friday, June 19, 2026 at Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories in Neosho. Funeral to begin at 1:00pm. Interment will follow at the Sparks Cemetery, north of Cassville.

Services are under the personal care and direction of Clark Funeral Home, Neosho MO.
