Norma Louise Lakin was born on June 9, 1935, in Joplin, Missouri, the only child of William L. and Cora (Woods) Noe. She was a graduate of Neosho High School. Norma and Harvey L. Lakin were united in marriage on June 7, 1951, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. They resided in Neosho for several years before moving to Parsons, Kansas, where they owned and operated a jewelry store. Following retirement, they returned to Neosho. Norma was a member of the Neosho First Christian Church and enjoyed reading in her spare time. Harvey preceded Norma in death on August 8, 2020, after sharing sixty-nine years together. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Stephen Michael in 1985. Norma is survived by her son, Greg Lakin of Diamond, Missouri. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at 10:00 A.M. in Neosho Memorial Park Cemetery.
