Patricia Ann (Abernathy) McFarland, of Neosho, Missouri, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2025. She was born on January 13, 1947, to Chester M. Abernathy and Ninnie V. Gilchriest.

A devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Patricia lived her life firmly rooted in faith. She found great joy in reading scripture, sewing, and cherishing time spent with her family.

Patricia is lovingly remembered by her children: Stacie Gradiot of Granby, MO; Thomas Lukasiewicz of Joplin, MO; Shelley Forste of Neosho, MO; Margaret Hedman of Joplin, MO; and Rachel Stewart of Joplin, MO. She was a proud grandmother to Robert, Ricky, Ryan, Jorge, Alina, Rosie, and Levi, and a great-grandmother to Lorena, Matteo, Elena, Niema, Edge, Claire, and many more cherished great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Russel L. McFarland.

A memorial service to honor Patricia's life will be held at a later date.
