Patsy Sue Burkhart passed away following a long illness. She was born on July 1, 1942, in Neosho, Missouri, to William Ray Whitman and Lillie (Nance) Whitman. She was a lifelong area resident. She attended Neosho High School. Patsy was a homemaker who dedicated her life to raising her children and working on their farm. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and gardening. She was an avid reader. Patsy always had music playing in the house, as she loved to sing and dance.

Patsy was united in marriage to Tex Raymond Burkhart, on September 4, 1960, in Neosho, Missouri. He preceded her in death. Patsy was survived by four children, Michael Ray Burkhart, of Neosho, Missouri; Richard Lee Burkhart, of Granby, Missouri; Jacci Sue Connell, of Miami, Oklahoma; Julia Ann Hardy, of Miami, Oklahoma; one brother William Whitman, of California, seven grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Patsy was also preceded in death by her parents and numerous brothers and sisters.

The family will hold private services.
