Peggy Sue Green, age 81, of Granby, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2023, in Joplin, Missouri. She was born on January 19, 1942, to the late Doyle Fredrick and Bonnie (Bell) Whaples. Peggy worked in the Food Service industry most of her life; she worked for Dairy Dip, Reta's, and Charley's in Granby. For the last 36 years of her career, she worked for Crowder College before retiring in 2021. Peggy always enjoyed a good crossword puzzle, long drives in the car, and her trip to Colorado, but most importantly, she loved taking care of her family.

She will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her children, Kevin (Darlene) Green of Neosho, Missouri, Kim (Bobby) Vance of Granby, Missouri; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 2, 2023, at the Newtonia IOOF Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 1, 2023, at Clark Funeral Home in Granby, Missouri.
