Ray Daugherty was born on January 23, 1958, in Stella, Missouri, the son of Kenneth and Dorathy (Brodie) Daugherty.  He entered into rest in the comfort of his home in Neosho on December 20, 2024, at the age of 66.

Ray was a lifelong area resident and graduate of Neosho High School, class of 1976.  He owned and operated Cantrell Drilling, Inc.   Ray enjoyed raising cattle, farming, mowing hay, deer hunting and especially cherished his time with his great grandchildren.  On October 31, 1980, in Goodman, Missouri, Ray and Florie Ann (Caywood) were united in marriage, and she preceded him in death on August 27, 2015.

Ray is survived by two daughters, Coti Gooden of Neosho and Crystal Davidson; two grandchildren, Dalton Gooden and wife, Emalee of Neosho and Lyliegh Davidson and four great grandchildren, Liylah, Kameron and Grayson Gooden, and Weston Hawkins.  In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Eugene and Joe Daugherty and his stepfather, Gene Cantrell.

A visitation will be held from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm at Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories in Neosho, Missouri on Thursday, December 26, 2024. A graveside service will be held at Neosho Memorial Park Cemetery on Friday, December 27, 2024 at 10 am.
