Rex Wilbur Allen

Rex Allen, of Rogersville, Missouri, passed away peacefully at his home on May 30, 2026, at the age of 76. Born in Neosho, Missouri, in 1949, Rex lived a life defined by service, dedication, and love for his family and friends.

Rex graduated from Neosho High School in 1967. Following graduation, he proudly served his country in the United States Navy. After completing his military service, he returned home and began a long career with Springfield Engineering.

Rex was an avid motorcyclist and took great pride in owning and riding several Harley-Davidson motorcycles throughout his life. He was also a Master Mason and a devoted member of Mount Olive Lodge in Rogersville, Missouri.

Above all, Rex was known for his kind heart and caring nature. He made it his mission to ensure those around him felt safe, supported, and loved. His generosity, wisdom, and steady presence touched countless lives and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Rex is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Barnes, and son-in-law, Kevin Barnes, of South Carolina; his grandsons, Jackson Barnes and Carter Barnes, of South Carolina; his son, Paden Allen, of Rogersville, Missouri; his brother, Vernon Allen, of Red Oak, Texas; his brother, Carmin Allen, of Joplin, Missouri; and his sister, Karen Robbins, of Neosho, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his father, Otha Allen, and his mother, Fern Allen.

A proud veteran, Mason, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Rex leaves behind a legacy of loyalty, compassion, and strength. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all those fortunate enough to have known him.
