Frank Richard (Rick) Pruitt was born on July 20, 1944, in Neosho, Missouri to Albert and Betty Pruitt. He passed away peacefully on January 18, 2024, surrounded by his family. Rick was a graduate of Neosho High School and was a lifelong area resident. He worked for Missouri Gas Energy for 35 years where he made many wonderful friends.

Rick loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working in his yard, and going to his grandson's baseball games. His annual fishing trip with friends was always a highlight for him. He also looked forward to watching his Kansas City Chiefs and Oklahoma Sooners football games. Rick loved to stay busy helping his family, and neighbors, and also working in his garage.

Rick married his beloved wife, Marcia Selby, on September 4, 1965, in Carthage, Missouri. They shared 56 years of love, laughter, and adventures. He was preceded in death by his wife and parents.

Rick is survived by his two children, Jeff Pruitt of Neosho; Kerri (RJ) Williams of Joplin; one sister Jessie (Randy) Burkhart of Neosho; one niece Cortney (Dewain) Riddle of Seneca; and three grandchildren Miranda Pruitt, Trevor Pruitt, and Cooper Williams.

Rick will be dearly missed by his family and friends, but comfort is found in knowing he and Marcia are together again. To honor his wishes, private family services will be held. Contributions in memory of Rick can be made to Faithful Friends, 11281 State Hwy 86. Neosho, MO 64850
