Robert Lee Patterson was born on August 1, 1948, in Springfield, Missouri, one of eight sons to David and Irene (Buzzard) Patterson.  He entered into rest at his home in Pierce City, Missouri on September 11, 2024, at the age of 76.  Robert was a lifelong area resident and a graduate of Neosho High School, class of 1966.  He was an independent life insurance agent, owning and operating the Robert Patterson Insurance Agency.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, being outdoors and playing golf.  His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his grandchildren and family.  He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Sarcoxie and a former member of the Abou Ben Adhem Shrine Club and was a member of Ritchey Baptist Church.  In 1977, in Oklahoma, Robert and Julie Powers were united in marriage and Julie survives.  In addition to his wife of forty-seven years, he is survived by children, David Patterson and wife, Conni of Joplin, Robert Patterson and wife, Patricia, Neosho, Jody Julseth of Goodman, Shelley Harris and husband, Sam of Fairview and Sheila Brown and husband, Ronnie of Goodman; sixteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.  Also surviving are seven brothers, David Patterson of Neosho, William Patterson of Diamond, Larry Patterson of Bella Vista, Arkansas, Donald Patterson of Eagle Rock, Ralph Patterson of Splitlog, Terry Patterson of Goodman and Randy Patterson of Goodman and numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.  Memorial graveside services will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at 2 pm at the Union Cemetery, Stella, MO.
