Ruby Annette Gentry, 74, Rocky Comfort, Missouri, died October 25, 2016 in Joplin, Missouri, following a long illness. Ruby was born July 11, 1942 in Houston, Texas, the daughter of Mikey and Isabelle (Satterfield) Hathhorn. She moved to the southwest Missouri area in 1969 from Non, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker and was a loving and dedicated mother to her family. She was a talented pianist and taught piano to all of her family. She helped to establish the Living Word Mission. Ruby and Billy Joe Gentry were married on December 1, 1961 at the First Baptist Church in San Leon, Texas and he survives. Additional survivors include four children, Charles Gentry and wife, Patti; Annetta Jones and husband, Mike; Kalma Mitchell and husband, Clay and Julie Mustang and Mike Draper; three brothers, Paul Hathhorn, Robert Hathhorn and wife, Edna and Mikey Hathhborn, Jr. and wife, Debbie; grandchildren, Craig, Chris and Eric Gentry; Samantha Vogel, Mikka Jones, Bruce Jordan, Kathryn Jordan, Chelsi Tugmon and Kyle Mustain and great grandchildren, Joycelyn, Peighton, Chris, Jr., Emmaliegh and Ray. Ruby is preceded in death by her parents.
