Ruby Berry (Lee) James passed away on August 23, 2024, at her home in Neosho, Missouri. She was born on April 1, 1930, in Clarendon, Texas, the daughter of Clyde William and Callie (Carnes) Berry. On November 25, 1945, in Claude, Texas, she married Leon James, who preceded her in death.

Ruby worked as a supervisor for Bell Helicopter for many years and was a member of the Church of Christ. She is survived by her daughters Dolores Layman, Vikki English, and Jackie Knapp, her son Larry James, twelve grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, and her sister Patsy Russell.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and one daughter, Cheryl Hughes. A graveside service will be held on September 7, 2024, at 10:00 at the Claude Cemetery- in Claude, Texas.
