Shirley Louise Button, age 76, of Joplin, Missouri, passed away on August 26, 2024, at Freeman Hospital. Born on March 11, 1948, in Burlington, Colorado, Shirley was the beloved daughter of Lester Arthur Statler and Charlene (Holden) Statler.

On June 16, 1975, Shirley married Eddie Joe Button in Diamond, Missouri. Their marriage was a source of great joy until Eddie's passing on December 31, 1993. Shirley was a cherished member of Diamond Baptist Church and found joy in various activities including sewing, crocheting, cooking, traveling, and fishing at lakes with her husband. She also had a fondness for rodeos.

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Christina (Michael) Johnson of Neosho, Missouri; her granddaughter, Victoria Johnson; her brother, Richard (Jean) Statler; and her sister, Virginia Charlton. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her mother and father-in-law, Vernon and Dorothy Button, sister Evelyn Hency and brother-in-law Elvis Hency.

A viewing will be held prior to the service from 9:00A.M.-9:30A.M. at the Clark Funeral Home in Neosho. A graveside service to honor Shirley's life will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at the Neosho IOOF Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Clark Funeral Home to assist the family with expenses
