Steven Earl Richards was born on June 30, 1957, in Stella, Missouri, one of six children to Clark and Maxine (Lewis) Richards.  He entered into rest at his home in Fairview, Missouri, on June 30, 2024, at the age of 67.  Steven was a graduate of East Newton High School, class of 1975 and a lifelong area resident.  He was retired and enjoyed arrowhead hunting and deer hunting.  Steven is survived by two daughters, Heather Thorne and husband, Tim of Neosho and Brandi Richardson and husband, Christopher Kyle of Oronogo; nine grandchildren, Blake Williams, Colton Thorne, Brett Williams, Tucker Thorne, Bryar Thorne, Collins Thorne, Brittni Daniels, Carson Richardson and Drake Richardson; five great grandchildren and one due to arrive in September 2024.  In addition, he is survived by five siblings, Bill Richards and wife, Vicki of Fairview, Allan Richards and wife, Iris of Sarcoxie, Arleta Woods of Stark City, Karen Francisco and husband, Jerry of Nixa and Cheryl Brust and husband, Jack of Carthage.  He is preceded in death by his parents.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at 1:00 pm at the Hammons Community Center in Fairview, Missouri.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in honor of Steven may be made to Clark Funeral Home to assist with expenses.
