Obituary

Tommy Lee Lauderdale, age 70, passed away on April 28, 2024. He was born on September 29, 1953, in Neosho's Sale Hospital to Jack and Patty (McIlvaine) Lauderdale. Tommy was a proud graduate of Neosho High School and spent his life as a valued member of the local community.

Professionally, Tommy worked as a press operator for a steel manufacturer, demonstrating a strong work ethic and dedication throughout his career. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially when outdoors, whether fishing, hunting, or spending quality time with loved ones.

Tommy's family was at the center of his world. He is survived by his mother, his children Michael (Jennifer) Lauderdale and Patricia (Tony) Lauderdale, and cherished grandchildren Nicholas, Rebecca, Tori, Casandra, Zachary, and Matthew Lauderdale. He also leaves behind great-grandchildren Mateo and Valentina Lauderdale, a testament to the love and legacy he built within his family. Additional survivors include his siblings Everett (Theresa) Lauderdale, Jim Lauderdale, and Jackie Lauderdale West, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members. He was preceded in death by his father, his infant daughter Christina Lauderdale, his grandson Brandon Miller, his brother Robert Lauderdale, and his nephew Chad Lauderdale.

A service to honor and celebrate Tommy's life will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, May 1, at Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories. Prior to the service, a visitation will be held from 1-2 pm. Tommy will be laid to rest at the Gibson Cemetery following the service, with Floyd Stewart officiating. Pallbearers paying their respects will include Nicholas Lauderdale, Zachary Lauderdale, Matthew Lauderdale, Dusty Lauderdale, Jeff Lauderdale, and Bodie Lauderdale.
