Velma 'Onita' Lasiter was born November 28, 1933, in Marble, Arkansas, the daughter of Ralph and Lavena (Kilgore) Sell.  She entered into rest on June 23, 2023, at Joplin, Missouri at the age of 89.  Onita was a lifelong area resident and a homemaker.  She enjoyed going to yard sales and thrift stores and was a member of the TOPS Club.  She attended the Church of God in Neosho and the Tri City Community Church in Pineville, Missouri.  On February 13, 1953, Onita and Leo Lasiter were united in marriage and Leo preceded her in death on March 13, 2009.  Onita is survived by five children, Lana Johnson of Neosho, Debbie Doyle and husband, Kim of Anderson, Dawayne Lasiter and wife, Carla of Pineville, Ronnie Lasiter and wife, Vicki of Neosho and Steve Lasiter of Joplin; thirteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.  In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by two daughters, Sonya Lasiter and Linda Hardy; a grandson, Tim Hardy; a granddaughter, Amy Doyle and a great-great granddaughter, Paige Marie Sorrell.  Funeral services will be held at 2 pm, Friday, June 30, 2023 at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories.  Interment will follow in the Neosho Memorial Park Cemetery, south of Neosho.  The family will receive friends Thursday evening, June 29th, from 5:30 to 7 pm at the funeral home.
