Obituary

Wanda Faye Wallace was called home on June 17, 2024, at the age of 85.  She was born to Frank and Ireta (Roller) Hency on September 21, 1938.  Faye was a graduate of Diamond High School.  She married Buddie (Bud) L. Wallace in 1957 in Diamond, Missouri and he preceded her in death on January 8, 2020.  Faye was a member of Duenweg Baptist Church.  She retired from Tyson Foods and then worked in the cafeteria at the Daimond Schools.  Faye loved to travel with her sister, Fern and nieces.  Faye and Fern could often be found on their walks when not travelling or attending plays, singing or grandchildren's and great nieces and nephews sports.  She is survived by children, Wayne (Barbara) Wallace of Diamond, Linda Swofford of Joplin, son-in-law, Kenneth Durbin of Diamond; eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.  In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Sharon Greninger-Durbin, grandsons, Dewey Swofford and Dylan Wallace, brother, Elvis (Evelyn) Hency, sister, Ireta 'Fern' (Bill) James and niece, Tamara Hency.
