William David 'Bill' Wiley, Sr., was born December 10, 1936, in Waco, Texas, one of three sons to Kelly and Annie Mae (Johnson) Wiley.  He went to be with the Lord on August 1, 2023, at the age of 86.  David graduated from Waco High School, attended Baylor University and received an Associate's degree from Crowder College.  He served his country for twenty-four years in the U.S. Air Force.  After retiring from the U.S. Air Force, he worked at La-Z-Boy Midwest in the electrical department and retired from La-Z-Boy.  David was an auto body mechanic and enjoyed restoring cars and he loved solving problems.  He was a member of First Baptist Church in Goodman, where he served as a deacon.  He loved his church, and he loved the Lord.  On October 24, 1996, in Calhoun, Mississippi, David and Margie A. (Holloway) were united in marriage and she preceded him in death on September 19, 2013.  David is survived by four sons, David Wiley, Jr. and wife, Shelley of Carthage, Tim Wiley and wife, Brenda of Joplin, Jeff Wiley and wife, Kasey of Neosho and Daniel Wiley and wife, Lara of Joplin; one step-daughter, Jennifer Fields and husband, Johnny of Noel, Missouri; one brother, J.C. Wiley and wife, Rosemary of Olustee, Oklahoma; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Wayne and Cathy  Mosby of Neosho; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren, other family and many friends.  In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Michael Wiley.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 4, 2023, at 2 pm at the First Baptist Church in Goodman, Pastor Mark Hall will officiate.  Interment and military honors will follow in the Neosho Memorial Park Cemetery and serving as pallbearers will be, Kelly Wiley, Levi Eddins, Keaton Snider, Evan Stamper, Brent Tabo-tabo and Matt Mosby.  Honorary pallbearer will be Wyatt Stamper.  The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5:30 – 7 pm at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho.  Contributions in memory of Bill may be made to the First Baptist Church, Goodman, c/o Clark Funeral Home, PO Box 66; Neosho, MO  64850.
