Dawn Leanne McDaniel was born Dec. 5, 1960 in Granby, Missouri, one of two children to Opal and Reta (Brown) McDaniel.  She entered into rest on January 31, 2022 in Neosho, following an extended illness at the age of 61.  Dawn graduated from Sarcoxie High School and worked as a cook at Reding's Mill Inn.  She enjoyed drawing, cooking and loved animals.  Dawn is survived by two children, Tiffany (D.J.) Studyvin and Dustin (Mindi Watts) Pearce, all of Joplin; her mother, Reta McDaniel of Joplin; grandchildren, Baylie Merriman, Blayden Merriman and Brantley Studyvin and her boyfriend, Ken Pierson.  She is preceded in death by her father, Opal and brother, Robin.  Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at 2 pm at the Clark Funeral Home, Granby.  The family will receive friends following the service until 4 pm.
